Q1. Where did the name 1923 Main Street come from?
1923 Main Street was created by Mike Belobradic many years ago. Originally, 1923 Main Street was a Disney travel information site that offered unbiased advice and information about Disney travel. Mike wanted a name that would reflect Disney, but that didn't infringe on Disney copyrights. He also like to think of his site as a destination for those who were interested in Disney travel. So the idea of an address came to mind. From there it was easy: 1923 is the year that Walt Disney founded the Walt Disney Company (which is why the Disney fanclub is called D23) and Main Street was in honor of Main Street U.S.A., which Walt designed to mirror the wholesome family friendly small town feel of his time growing up in Marceline, Missouri.
Q2. How often do you travel to Disney destinations?
Generally we spend three weeks per year at Disney destinations. We always stay onsite at Deluxe Disney Resort Hotels or Villas. Usually at least two weeks per year are spent at Walt Disney World and sometimes the third week might be there or somewhere else (such as Disneyland, Disney Aulani in Hawaii, Disneyland Paris, etc.). Mike has been doing this for nearly 50 years, while Amelia has 10 years of Disney travel experience.
Q3. How often are episodes released?
We are committed to releasing a new episode each week on Tuesday. We do our very best to keep to that schedule. We also aim to keep each episode to approximately 15 minutes in length, focusing on sharing the latest Disney travel news every week. We keep them short so you can always stay up to date on the latest news and commentary in a 15-minute package. As we like to say, 1923 Main Street is your weekly 15 minutes of Disney magic.
