Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser takes its maiden voyage on March 1 at Walt Disney World and more details have been revealed about how this new immersive experience will interact with other Star Wars experiences in Galaxy’s Edge.

The Starcruiser Halcyon -- now fully restored to its former glory -- will follow its maiden voyage to the first port it ever visited, which was Batuu. In the Star Wars timeline, your voyage on the Galactic Starcruiser takes place between the events of Star Wars Last Jedi and Star Wars Rise of Skywalker. Do you join the First Order? the Resistance? Are you a scoundrel? You get to pick your experience to some degree. Plus, you'll see Rey and Kylo meet up in a period between those two films. There's a Halcyon Legacy comic series if you want to learn more about the ship in this time period.

The Transformation of Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland Park Begins Soon

Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland Park will soon begin its transformation into a whole new world of sights, sounds, and sensations including some all-new experiences, more play and interactivity for guests. The focus will remain on families and young children, but it's something that any Disney fan will love.

Mickey’s Toontown will be closed as of March 9, 2022, and will reopen in early 2023, along with the new attraction, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

So if you want to experience the current iteration, do it by March 8

When Mickey’s Toontown reopens in 2023, it will still be home to Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, Mickey’s House and Minnie’s House! And other attractions will be reimagined in new ways, including Gadget’s Go Coaster, Goofy’s House and Donald’s Boat.

Capture Your Moment is Coming Soon to all Walt Disney World Theme Parks

Disney PhotoPass Service is expanding its Capture Your Moment feature to include all four parks at Walt Disney World.

Capture Your Moment is a 20-minute private photo session that has proven very popular at Disney's Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, the first two parks where it has launched. Now, Capture Your Moment is expanding to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

EPCOT – Starting February 24
Epcot joins the fun with a global view to whatever it is that you're celebrating: a surprise proposal, first visit to Walt Disney World, a graduation, anniversary or a family portrait memory. Photos sessions take place in picturesque World Showcase and you can choose from one of the following pavilions for your photo shoot: Germany, Italy, The American Adventure, Japan or Morocco.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios – Starting March 21
Photo shoots at Hollywood Studios offer some pretty unique options, including the spooky ambiance of the Hollywood Tower Hotel or a more serene and lighthearted setting with Gertie, Echo Lake’s resident dinosaur. Other options include the Chinese Theatre’s façade area (Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway), or the colorful neon signs and art deco architecture of Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard if you want to capture that old time Hollywood retro vibe.

So how much does Capture Your Moment cost?
Capture Your Moment sessions are $79 and can include up to eight people in your party. Prints and digital downloads are not included, but, if you've purchased a Disney PhotoPass product such as Memory Maker or Memory Maker One Day, or if you are a qualifying Annual Passholder with a Disney PhotoPass download benefit, then you can download the photos at no extra cost.

Find all the details on Capture Your Moment at DisneyWorld.com

The 2022 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival Starts March 4

If you're thinking of visiting during this time, here's what we know so far for Disney travelers.

Many of California’s most popular communities and regions will be highlighted in the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival’s wide array of dishes. Ten+ Festival Marketplaces will serve mini portions and drinks, and dining locations across Disney California Adventure park – including Pym Tasting Lab and Terran Treats at Avengers Campus – will also feature special festival menu items.

As always, the Sip and Savor Pass will be available for purchase and will include eight coupons redeemable for select food and non-alcoholic beverages at participating locations.

The Hollywood Backlot in Hollywood Land will be home to an wide range entertainment and presentations for all ages.

The all-new animated series, “Alice’s Wonderland Bakery,” which recently debuted on Disney Junior, is the inspiration behind a new, limited-time festival experience for junior chefs at the Hollywood Backlot Stage. During “Alice’s Wonderland Bakery Unbirthday Party,” kids ages 3 through 11 will have the opportunity to express their creativity through hands-on cupcake decorating. Take note that space is limited, and participant sign-ups begin 45 minutes before each show time.

At the Hollywood Backlot, you may also find Chef Goofy or dance with Chip ‘n’ Dale as they provide the rhythm using pots and pans.

On Saturdays and Sundays there will be culinary demonstration at the Hollywood Backlot Stage. A diverse lineup of Disney and visiting chefs will prepare their favorite dishes and share insider tips for making mouth watering meals at home. So if you like to try out Disney recipes, this is a must-do.

Signature events will be offered for an additional fee, including Carthay Circle Winemaker Receptions and special wine, beer and mixology seminars at Sonoma Terrace.

Disney Cruise Line Guests Recently Recovered from COVID-19 May Qualify to Be Considered as "90-Day-Recovered"

Disney Cruise Line updated their policies for Guests who have recently recovered from COVID-19.
In some cases, people who have recently recovered from COVID-19 may still test positive for the virus. If you have tested positive for Covid within 11-90 days of your sail date, you may qualify to be considered as “90-Day-Recovered.” With the appropriate documentation and subsequent approval, you would not be required to participate in COVID-19 testing during the Pre-Sail, Embarkation or Disembarkation phases of their voyage.

Disney Wish Inaugural sailing delayed until Mid-July

This week Disney announced that the shipyard has notified Disney Cruise Line that they need more time to finish the ship due to the pandemic and specifically the Omicron variant hitting Germany at a critical point in the process.

Disney Cruise Line has delayed the maiden voyage by a few weeks, which will affect sailings through mid-July. Disney Cruise Line will be sending an email to guests on these sailings to share this news and inform them of options.
