Disney hasn't shared very much about what it plans to do to celebrate the Disney World 50th. With the big day almost here, is a castle overlay, a few golden statues and some new nightly shows all they plan to do?

Disney has a history of underwhelming when it comes to major milestone celebrations. Will the WDW 50th be any different?

With less than a month to go before the kick-off of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary celebrations on October 1, we don't really know a lot about what Disney has planned to mark this momentous occasion.

Or do we?

With the big day almost upon us, Disney has release precious little details about what they may have planned to celebrate the golden anniversary of Walt Disney World. Beyond the overlay of Cinderella Castle and other park icons, and some new nighttime shows and golden statues, what does Disney plan to do to celebrate the occasion with guests?
